About Mia

I would describe myself as outgoing, friendly, creative, and curious. I genuinely enjoy talking to people and building meaningful friendships, because I believe every person has a different story and way of seeing the world. I like paying attention to how people feel, react, and express themselves, and I try to understand situations from perspectives beyond my own.

I also enjoy being a leader, especially when I can help others feel included, comfortable, and confident. Although I can sometimes be shy when I first meet someone, I usually warm up quickly once I feel more comfortable.

One thing I value about myself is my ability to find happiness in small moments. I try to make life more enjoyable by noticing little things, exploring new ideas, and looking at challenges from a different angle. I love learning things I have never experienced before, trying new activities, and discovering hobbies that might become important to me. Whether I am meeting new people, experimenting with a creative idea, or simply trying a new food or drink, I am always interested in discovering something new about the world and myself.

A Few Things About Me

What I Make

I express myself through art and love creating things with my hands. From painting pottery to making crafts, I have always enjoyed turning simple ideas and materials into something personal and meaningful.

What I'm Curious About

I'm curious about how people and the world work. I enjoy learning about psychology, understanding why people feel and act the way they do, and discovering how we can live life more fully and meaningfully.

What I Care About

I care deeply about the people closest to me and the relationships we share. I try to be thoughtful about how I treat others, how my emotions affect them, and the kind of person I am to those who truly know me. I also value the things I create because they often hold personal meaning and reflect a part of who I am.

Selected Recognition

At 12, I competed in Yip's Music Festival and came away with the Madam Helen Wu Grade VII Trophy, along with two more awards from other pieces I performed that year. Piano has taught me that competitions aren't really about the trophy — they're about pushing myself to play a piece as well as I possibly can, and learning to stay calm when I'm nervous on stage.

Other Interests

Anime & Creative Expression

Whenever I watch an anime that inspires me, I often draw a poster or recreate a scene that I especially enjoyed. I also like decorating my room with figurines and small items related to the anime I love. My artwork, room, clothing, and personal style are all ways I express different parts of who I am.

Rainy Days

I really enjoy the rain. I find the sound, atmosphere, and feeling of rainy days calming, peaceful, and comforting.
